  • Gain an understanding of ‘The Gradual Release of Responsibility’ (GROR) framework. 
  • Learn how to use the framework to create a classroom of confident, creative writers. 
  • Develop a framework to assist in the understanding and delivering of explicit, effective and engaging instruction that fosters an independent learning environment.

Course Description

This course will present an introduction to ‘The Gradual Release Of Responsibility’ (GROR) framework and explicitly cover how it can be used to create a classroom of creative and confident writers. It will provide a template to assist in the understanding and delivering of explicit, effective and engaging instruction that fosters an independent learning environment. 

This course will dive into the different instructional phases, as well as presenting a look at how to embed GROR into your classroom. It will provide various tips and tricks to help all teachers get started immediately. The course will have three modules that will explain the theory behind the different learning phases, as well as practical examples, and instant ways to make change to your classroom practice.

About your Instructors

Lucy Chambers is Co-founder of Cleverbean and a Primary School Teacher with over 15 years of experience in NSW, the ACT and abroad.
