COVID-19: Update on Continuity of Operations from ClassCover

ClassCover COVID-19 Update

Given the rapidly changing situation relating to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we wanted to give our schools and relief teachers an update to assure you of the ongoing stability of ClassCover operations during this time.  This includes the stability of our app and an assurance that we will continue to maintain high levels of service to our customers during our regular hours and through our regular channels.

We have a team monitoring the situation and we continue to take advice from the Australian Government Department of Health.  Our highest priority is the health and safety of all our clients, customers, team members and partners.

We understand the anxiety that our 50,000 casual teachers are experiencing with the potential loss of income with school closures. We will work with the Department of Education on providing you with updates as they arise.

Bookings on ClassCover during the COVID-19 pandemic

  • There will be no disruption to the ClassCover app during this time. We are seeing a rise in casual teacher bookings and expect this to be the case unless school closures are announced.
  • In the event of school closures, ClassCover will continue to provide a platform for schools and teachers to communicate cancellations

ClassCover staff and operations

  • Our staff will work remotely during social distancing measures; this is not expected to cause any disruptions to the operation of the ClassCover app or the levels of service provided.

Contingency Plans

Contingency Plans for customer service and managing surge in School Booking requests

We continue to enhance and test our preparedness for the possibility of a scenario resulting in the need for a larger number of booking requests and usage to be carried out remotely for an extended period.  Our team members can, and do, regularly work from home using secure remote connections. We are confident that all critical processing activities such as app maintenance & development, technical & customer support and company communicationswill continue to function in the event of a lockdown.

Contingency Plans for client and customer facing websites/portals

Our IT resiliency and Business Continuity Plans are thoroughly tested on a regular basis.  Our internal IT Team continue to work with our technology partners to ensure all core processing systems, apps, websites, portals and mobile applications remain operational with a heightened level of support.
