Module 1: Before you start placement
Here we go. Starting from the beginning, Josh explains the things that you should do before your placement begins to ensure you get the most out of the experience. This includes when you should begin preparing, essential items you will need, and the best way to make a strong impression on your supervising teacher, the principal/s, and of course your students.
Module 2: During your placement
Next up, module 2 will help prepare you for the placement itself. Josh draws on his own experience to explain what supervisors, other teachers, principals, and students expect from prac teachers. You’ll want to grab a pen and take notes for this one as Josh provides a ton of great advice and actionable tips for all student teachers.
Module 3: After your placement
In the final module, Josh will share the things to remember when you are finishing placement as well as steps to take to help you absorb the learnings from the experience. What’s the best way to thank your supervising teacher and the school? What documentation do you need and who is the best person to provide it? How can you best reflect on your placement to ensure you take the lessons into future pracs and your career as a teacher. Module 3 will answer these questions and leave you feeling confident about your upcoming placement.
